J.H.D. "Red" Wilson was a Canadian football player, playing from 1922 to 1931. [1] [2]

Primarily playing tackle (called "middle"), [3] [4] Wilson also played guard ("inside") [5] and flying wing. [6] Wilson played for the Toronto Argonauts from 1922 to 1930, including 52 regular season games and a team record 21 playoff games. [7] His best season was 1929, when he was named team captain and won the Jeff Russel Memorial Trophy as best player in the east. [8] [9] He then retired, but returned to the Argos for one more season, [10] and finished his career playing with the Sarnia Imperials in 1931. [5]

Charles Dinsmore

Charles Adrian Dinsmore was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played 100 games in the National Hockey League. Known variously as Chas, Chuck, or "Dinny" Dinsmore, he was born in Toronto, Ontario, where he played for the amateur Toronto Aura Lee Juniors hockey team and the Toronto Argonauts football team, before eventually playing pro hockey for the Montreal Maroons. The 1924–25 NHL season was the first for both the Maroons and the Boston Bruins, and on December 1, 1924 Charles earned the first goal ever scored against the Bruins. He won the Stanley Cup in 1926. He left the game in 1928 to take a job as a bond trader. But in the middle of the 1929-30 NHL season, he asked the Maroons about getting his old job back because he said the stock market did not offer the same thrills as playing in the NHL. Montreal team officials told him that they had no more money in the budget to sign another player, but Dinsmore was insistent and struck a deal by signing a contract to play for the Maroons which would pay him one dollar for the remaining nine games.

Allan Byron (Teddy) Morris was a Canadian Football Hall of Fame player and coach for the Toronto Argonauts.

Franklin David Turville was a Canadian football player, playing from 1928 to 1936.

The 1931 Toronto Argonauts season was the club's 45th season since its inception in 1873 and its 22nd season in the Interprovincial Rugby Football Union. The team finished tied with the Hamilton Tigers for second place in the IRFU with three wins and three losses and failed to qualify for the playoffs.
